Description:
Daniel P. Gibson is the Managing Director of Gibson & Behman, P.C. which
has offices in eight states. Mr. Gibson's practice focuses primarily on insurance
defense, automobile claims, products liability, premises liability, and corporate
matters. Mr. Gibson has advised and represented clients on some of this country's
most significant catastrophic loss cases including the Malden Mills $600,000,000.00
fire loss and personal injury cases. He has advised and represented clients
in all aspects of civil litigation. Mr. Gibson has participated in cases presented
to the United States Supreme Court; United States Court of Appeals, First and
Second Circuits; and federal and state courts in eight states. He has received
many awards of distinction and has authored a leading text on dram shop liability
published by the American Bar Association.
Mr. Gibson has spoken extensively on dram shop liability, premises liability, products liability, employment practices and innovative methods in dealing with large catastrophic subrogation matters. He has been a contributing editor to publications on dram shop liability for the Practicing Law Institute and has written on numerous civil litigation issues, including Daubert hearings, cross-examination of experts during civil trials, workplace harassment, and all aspects of handling dram shop matters from intake through investigation and to trial. Mr. Gibson has served as a faculty member to the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Trial Lawyers Association and Essex Bar Association. Mr. Gibson and members of the firm have participated as panelists in seminars throughout the world. His firm is considered to be among the best dram shop defense firms in the country. The American Bar Association has selected Mr. Gibson as author of "The Defense Perspective - How To Defend a Dram Shop Case" now in its second edition. Mr. Gibson speaks annually in Las Vegas at the American Licensed Beverage Association conference and he has designed and presented a seminar entitled: "How to Protect your Assets During the American Litigation Explosion". Mr. Gibson has also served as a mediator and arbitrator on personal injury and construction matters as a member of the American Arbitration Association and ADR/Equimar.
